Dolyna Ski Area

Dolyna is a little known area, popular with cross country skiers, looking to 'get away from it all', recharge the batteries and have an enjoyable low cost holiday at the same time. The area has a very good summer trade since it is located in an area of soft mountains which are perfect for hiking, mountain biking, trails etc. As you can see from the photos below, the scenery is stunning, the countryside completely unspoilt and incredibly expansive. What a place to have a holiday home!

Villages in the area have remained relatively untouched over the years and it is not a rare a sight to see a horse and cart and traditional thatched cottages. Properties in the area tend to have great character and are great value for money.

Popular activities apart from skiing also include fishing. The area has a number of quality rivers (like the one below). In the mountain valleys a number of lakes can be found which are crystal clear and free of pollution. They collect fresh mountain spring water which is very healthy to drink and to swim in, in summertime.

Location

Dolyna is relatively easy to access by main road and is situated at the edge of the Carpathians, in the Ivano-Frankvisk region.
