Vorokhta Ski resort

Situated in a particularly high part of the Carpathians, the Vorokhta resort presents particularly good skiing conditions to any visitor. Tobogganing, ski jumping and cross country skiing are all practised here.

Vorokhta is situated on the River Prut, which is a popular place with swimmers, fishers and certain areas of it are suitable for kayaking and extreme water sports. When winter comes, the area does have some good ski slopes plus some dry slope facilities. All in all, it's a good place to visit if you want to see some of real 'Ukraine' and do some unforgettable sightseeing.

The area has its own particular style of church architecture. The churches are constructed mainly out of wood and their style has been replicated throughout the world. In fact, there is a park in Quebec which has a collection of miniature Vorokhta church replicas.

Two other ski resorts are nearby, Yaremche and Yablunytsya.
